Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has extended his congratulations to President Bola Tinubu following his victory in the Supreme Court.
Governor Eno noted that this victory puts an end to all legal disputes regarding the President’s emergence in the February 25, 2023 elections.
The Governor conveyed his congratulations during a “Thank You Meeting” with Christian Leaders in the state. He emphasized that, despite Akwa Ibom State’s affiliation with the Peoples Democratic Party, his administration would continue to align with the federal government to attract development opportunities for the state.
Governor Eno also addressed the financial challenges faced by the country due to the removal of oil subsidy, emphasizing that his government would ensure that available resources are not wasted on frivolous expenditures but are used for the benefit of the people. He reaffirmed his commitment to lead a united and prosperous Akwa Ibom State and urged the church community to remain united, irrespective of political or ethnic affiliations.
Bishop Christian Nyong, the State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), commended Governor Eno’s leadership efforts and expressed the church community’s support for the state government. The meeting represented various church blocs in the state and aimed to strengthen the support of Christians for the current administration.
