Oriental Energy Resources Ltd has refurbished seven one-bedroom teachers’ quarters at Government Primary School, Ibuot Utan, Effiat, in Mbo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
The facilities, handed over on Thursday, include solar-powered lighting, water systems, and modern internal and external fittings. Managing Director Mustafa Indimi, represented by Dr. Uwem Ite, highlighted the company’s commitment to education and community development.
“This fulfills our 2022 promise to enhance this school,” Indimi stated, referencing the prior refurbishment of classrooms, furniture supply, and modern toilets. The company’s efforts align with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, promoting inclusive, quality education.
Local Council Chairman Sunday Etim Okon and Commissioner for Education Idongesit Etiebet lauded the initiative, noting its alignment with Governor Umo Eno’s A.R.I.S.E. Agenda and its potential to boost teacher productivity in the community.
