Azuh Arinze, the publisher and editor-in-chief of YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine, has released a new book titled “Anything And Everything Journalism,” dedicated to two iconic figures in Nigerian journalism, Dele Giwa and Dimgba Igwe, whose untimely deaths shook the nation.
Dele Giwa, renowned for his charismatic journalism, was the founding editor of Newswatch and tragically killed by a parcel bomb in 1986. Dimgba Igwe, an astute journalist who co-founded The Sun newspaper, passed away under controversial circumstances in 2014.
“Anything And Everything Journalism” serves as a comprehensive resource for journalism, featuring 37 in-depth interviews with some of Nigeria’s most prominent journalists across various media platforms. Notable figures interviewed include Segun Osoba, Ray Ekpu, Bayo Onanuga, Mike Awoyinfa, Dele Momodu, and many others.
The book aims to provide insights into the journeys of these journalists to the top of their profession, covering print, broadcast, and online journalism. It underscores the importance of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards in journalism.
Azuh Arinze dedicated the book to Giwa and Igwe to ensure their legacies endure and to honor their contributions to the field of journalism. He emphasized that the book is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Nigerian journalists, past and present.
The public presentation of “Anything And Everything Journalism” will take place alongside Azuh’s other book, “My Story Of Many Colours,” on March 25, 2024, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Lagos. The event will feature distinguished guests, including Dr. Dakuku Peterside and Lady Onyeka Onwenu, among others.
The book launch event promises to be an enlightening and celebratory occasion, highlighting the significance of journalism and the enduring impact of those who have dedicated their lives to the profession.
