A socio-political organization, Ibom Mirror, has called on the Executive Director of Projects at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Victor Antai, to prioritize developmental projects in Akwa Ibom State and cease any adversarial actions against Governor Umo Eno.

This appeal comes in light of recent contentious remarks made by Mr. Antai, allegedly under the influence of Senator Godswill Akpabio, which have sparked controversy.

Ibom Mirror, through its leaders Comrade Kingsley Sunday and Prince Godwin Peter, criticized the perceived manipulation by Senator Akpabio, accusing him of using Mr. Antai as a pawn in a broader scheme against Governor Eno. The group expressed disappointment in what they see as Senator Akpabio’s undue interference in state affairs, particularly given his role as Senate President.

The organization highlighted Mr. Antai’s responsibility to contribute positively to the state’s progress rather than engaging in political skirmishes. They reminded Mr. Antai of the counterproductive outcomes of past instances where individuals utilized their positions within the NDDC for personal or political vendettas against state leadership.

Ibom Mirror’s statement cautioned against underestimating Governor Eno’s approachability and humility, advising Senator Akpabio to desist from instigating conflicts. They warned that continuing such divisive tactics could lead to unfavorable consequences for those involved.

The group’s message to Mr. Antai is clear: align with developmental goals and resist being drawn into political battles, to avoid tarnishing his reputation and career. They hope for a collaborative effort towards the state’s advancement, free from personal or political animosities.
