Governor Umo Eno Receives Exemplary Leadership Award

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has been honored with an exemplary leadership award by the people of Akwa Ibom Northwest (Ikot Ekpene) Senatorial District.

The award was presented during a special reception ceremony held at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium in honor of Senator Godswill Akpabio, the senator representing Akwa Ibom Northwest in the National Assembly and President of the 10th Senate.

Expressing his gratitude for the recognition, Governor Eno thanked the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District for organizing the event and for the honor bestowed upon him. He viewed the award as an acknowledgment of his governance approach, an encouragement to continue uniting the people, and an endorsement of his commitment to serving the state beyond 2027.

Governor Eno extended the felicitations of the state government and its people to Senator Akpabio, characterizing the event as a demonstration of unity and solidarity among Akwa Ibom natives. He emphasized the importance of celebrating the achievements of Akwa Ibom indigenes, regardless of political affiliations, as they represent the pride and identity of the state.

In his address, Senate President Obong Godswill Akpabio expressed appreciation for the warm reception and assured Governor Eno of the National Assembly’s support for his administration’s success. He commended the governor as a unifier and advocate of peace, pledging bipartisan cooperation to benefit the people of Akwa Ibom State.

Presenting the Exemplary Leadership Award to Governor Umo Eno, former Chief Judge of the State, Justice Godwin Abraham, lauded the governor’s efforts in fostering unity and political harmony in the state. He described Governor Eno’s bridge-building initiatives as commendable and essential for the state’s progress.

The event underscored the significance of solidarity and collaboration in advancing the collective interests and development of Akwa Ibom State, reaffirming the commitment of its leaders to prioritize the welfare and prosperity of its citizens.
