In the wake of his recent inauguration into office, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has unveiled his initial lineup of appointments.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, Mr. Enobong Uwah was appointed as the Secretary to the State Government.
The statement, issued by Dr. Nathaniel Adiakpan, the Permanent Secretary of the Government House in Uyo, declared that Uwah’s appointment would take effect immediately.
Additionally, the announcement included the appointments of Mr. Ekerete Udoh as the Chief Press Secretary and Mr. Anietie Usen as the Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity to the governor.
Furthermore, the statement disclosed that Mr. Otobong Idiong would serve as the Chief of Protocol, while Dr. Uduakobong Inam would assume the role of Economic Adviser.
“The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved the following appointments with immediate effect: Prince Enobong Uwah as Secretary to the State Government; Mr. Ekerete Udoh as Chief Press Secretary; Mr. Anietie Usen as Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity; Mr. Otobong Edem Idiong as Chief of Protocol; and Dr. Uduakobong Inam as Economic Adviser,” the statement read.
The statement concluded by urging the public to extend necessary support to the newly appointed officials to ensure the successful discharge of their responsibilities.
Notably, Mr. Udoh previously served as the Chief Press Secretary and Senior Special Assistant on media to Mr. Udom Emmanuel, the immediate past governor of the state, for a span of eight years.
