Governor Eno Urges Patience Amid Reforms

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has called on Nigerians to be patient and endure the challenges associated with the reform programs initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

He assured citizens that these reforms will soon yield positive results, stating that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

Governor Eno made this appeal during the groundbreaking ceremony for the 18-storey Ibom Towers on Victoria Island, Lagos, which is expected to be completed within the next 24 months.

Reflecting on his long-standing support for Tinubu, dating back to his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, Eno praised the significant reforms that transformed Lagos into the best-performing economy in Africa. He expressed optimism that the current reforms under Tinubu would similarly reposition Nigeria for economic growth.

“We remain hopeful that the reforms our president is currently introducing, painful as they may seem today, will soon bear fruit, as he repositions Nigeria, just as he did with Lagos State as the largest economy in Africa,” Eno remarked. He encouraged the public to patiently support the government as it navigates these changes.

Emphasizing the Akwa Ibom government’s commitment to economic growth, Eno explained that the state is investing in real estate to enhance its revenue base. The groundbreaking of the Ibom Towers marks a significant step in diversifying the state’s income and expanding its investment portfolio.
