The Innocent Udoidiong Foundation (IUF) has distributed free petrol to more than 2,000 commercial motorcyclists and small business owners in Abak, Ika, Etim Ekpo, and Ukanafun Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State.

This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden stemming from the recent increase in fuel prices.

According to a statement from the foundationโ€™s Media Officer, Mr. Tony Esin, each beneficiary received three liters of petrol during the weekend distribution event. Mr. Joseph Ekpo, the foundationโ€™s National Coordinator, led the distribution team and encouraged recipients to help reduce transportation costs within their communities, extending the benefits of this support.

Ekpo reaffirmed the foundationโ€™s dedication to easing the challenges faced by local residents, stating, โ€œWe aim to lessen the daily struggles of our people as the economic challenges intensify.โ€

Comrade Ediomo Udombong, President of Physically Challenged Persons in Ika LGA, expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries. He remarked, โ€œWe are grateful for Mr. Udoidiongโ€™s kindness. This support comes at a time when weโ€™re facing significant hardship, and we pray for God to reward him abundantly.โ€

Isaac Akpan, a beneficiary from Ikot Udobong in Ukanafun, described the foundationโ€™s support as a โ€œdisplay of generosity,โ€ thanking Udoidiong for reaching out during this difficult period.

In Etim Ekpo LGA, commercial motorcyclists gathered at a filling station near Old Obo Market Square to receive the fuel donation. One recipient, Mr. Odudu Philip, emphasized the importance of the foundationโ€™s gesture, noting that Udoidiong is a private businessman, not a politician. โ€œThis gesture is deeply valued because it shows genuine care, unlike some politicians who forget the people who support them,โ€ Philip stated.

The UK-based Innocent Udoidiong Foundation remains committed to initiatives that support vulnerable communities and provide relief to those affected by economic hardships.
