The government of Akwa Ibom State and MTN have inked a deal for comprehensive broadband services.

This agreement ensures that Dakadda Luxury Estate in Uruan will have access to high-speed Internet connection 24 hours a day, seven days a week, via a fiber network.

The development is designed to improve the estate’s high degree of security. The Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) project is also projected to boost high-speed Internet adoption and have an economic impact.

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President, recently inaugurated the 557-unit Low Smart Dakkada Luxury Estate during the state’s 34th anniversary celebrations. Apart from providing shelter for the homeless, Osinbajo stated that the project was crucial in terms of employment development.

Pastor Umo, the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, spoke at the contract signing ceremony.

Eno reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to the contract’s completion and commended the telecoms company for its willingness to collaborate with the state government.

He explained that the estate’s numerous amenities, such as Wifi, will enable people to telework and provide smart living conditions for investors entering the state.

“Full broadband Internet service is available 24 hours a day, every day,” he says. Residents in this estate can telework and be productive anywhere and anywhere since broadband promises a broad economic future. It is abundantly fruitful in the Dakkada luxury estate.”

He also commended state Governor Udom Emmanuel for his decision on the luxury estate Internet project, saying that the state will benefit from it.
