The Speaker of the Akwa-Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Udeme Otong, has expressed the desire for a collaborative and synergic working relationship with the Oyo State House of Assembly.
This call was made during a dinner hosted by Hon. Udeme Otong for the members and management team of the Oyo State House of Assembly, who were in Akwa-Ibom for a two-day post-inauguration workshop.
Hon. Udeme Otong emphasized the importance of such workshops in enhancing the knowledge and experience of lawmakers responsible for constitutional duties. He presented certificates of participation to the thirty-two lawmakers and management staff from Oyo State, commending their efforts.
The Akwa-Ibom State Speaker praised the leadership and managerial skills of the Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, describing him as a leader with a great sense of responsibility, passion for building relationships, and a confident, calm, and collected demeanor.
In response, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin expressed appreciation for the brotherly love and support from his counterpart, Hon. Udeme Otong. He assured closer ties between the two-state Assemblies, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and shared experiences for the benefit of both regions.
