The commitment of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to prioritize entrepreneurship development has taken a significant step forward with the launch of the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme (EAP).

The Governor’s promise to sponsor the training and empowerment of registered vendors was fulfilled as 400 vendors attended the inaugural Made-In-Akwa Ibom Trade Fair recently. The training commenced with excitement, anticipation, and eager faces.

Governor Umo Eno had previously announced a donation of N250 million to the Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development Centre, Ibom LED, for the training and mobilization of approximately 400 entrepreneurs in the state. This announcement was made during the formal launch of the Made in Akwa Ibom Trade Fair at the Ibom-Led Headquarters, located on IBB Avenue in Uyo.

Governor Eno praised the people for their skill and expertise in various trades and encouraged the entrepreneurs to proudly showcase their innovations and creativity during the trade fair.

The kick-off of the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme commenced with introductory sessions led by Pastor Imo-Abasi Jacob, a Faculty member and team leader, along with other members of the Faculty.

The event concluded with an evening of cocktails, providing an opportunity for participants and faculty to network, connect, and celebrate new beginnings, symbolized by EAP 01, as well as the Arise Agenda.
