The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chapter in Akwa Ibom State has endorsed Governor Udom Emmanuel’s succession plan.
Aniekan Akpan, the state party chairman, revealed this when the governor paid a visit to the party secretariat. He guaranteed the undivided support and commitment of the party structures across the state to help the governor carry out his program.
“We offer our unwavering support toward the realization of your complete plan,” he stated. The party has become more stable as a result of your support. We congratulate you on your accomplishments. You’ve accomplished a lot. PDP is proud of you.”
Emmanuel Enoidem, the party’s former National Legal Adviser, also spoke, assuring the governor that his choice of Umo Eno as his preferred successor was a well-considered decision and vowing that the party will strive to ensure his electoral triumph.
“We will see to it that your completion program is completed successfully,” Paul Ekpo, the party’s former state chairman, said.
The party has committed to “stand by you come rain or shine until your succession plan is accomplished,” according to Edet Etangnkana, Chairman of the Chapter Chairmen.
In his message, Governor Emmanuel urged party members to unify and pray for state leaders, emphasizing that his actions were in the best interests of the people of the state.
He stated that his administration would complete all ongoing projects because “we are going to work day and night to deliver on the manifestoes we committed to the party.”
“I would never do something in my own self-interest,” Emmanuel said of Eno’s selection as the next governor. I’m willing to take a bullet for the cause of the people. I’m ready to take any and all insults that come my way. God is the one who chooses who will lead. We will continue to collaborate as a group.”
