The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Akwa Ibom State rivalry appears to be coming to an end after DIG Udom Ekpoudom (rtd) met in Uyo with Obong Akan Udofia, the APC’s candidate for governor, and Obong Godswill Akpabio, the former governor of the state and senatorial candidate for Akwa Ibom North West.

After a lengthy meeting at Ekpoudom’s home in Uyo, the trio of Ekpoudom, Udofia, and Akpabio decided to band together and cooperate to advance the party in the state.

The race between Akpabio and Ekpoudom for the party’s Akwa Noth West senatorial ticket was fierce up until the Supreme Court’s decision in Akpabio’s favor.
