I believe we have made a significant contribution to the development of sports in this country. We have a vision that, with the facilities we’re putting in place and the investments we’re making, we’ll be able to get to a point where Akwa Ibom State has more than 50% of sports talent.”
The goal of the visit, according to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, was to welcome Governor Emmanuel, an alumnus of the university, to the NUGA GAMES 2022 and to present him with the torch of unity ahead of the games. Prof. Ogundipe praised the Governor for his efforts in reforming the state and characterized him as a worthy representative of the University.
